May 8 Playlist + Next 3 Weeks + WVKRRRRRRGH

Today was Lost And Found Sixties covering the years 1963-1968. Over 40 songs in 2 hours, several of which I've never played before including some Boss album cuts that sure sounded like singles. Miss any? http://wvkr.radioactivity.fm/playlist.html?djoid=1633&date=05-08-2009

Thank you SO much for the great Emails about last week's CKLW 1969 retrospective. Twas the most Email I've gotten on one show, all positive except one with some possibly valid criticisms. All appreciated. lostoldies@yahoo.com

Got some exciting 1969 news coming up in a few weeks. But let's get through May first. Next week it's Lost And Found Seventies. Not sure what form it will take--AM pop? Later FM rock? What would YOU like? Then May 22 is Memorial Day weekend. Sam The Tattoo Man wanted to guest host but I didn't hear from him this week so I think I'm going to go ahead with another Beach Music special like we did last 4th of July and very well received. The following week May 29 I'll be away. waa.

OK, so WVKR spent all this $$$ on new CD players that are supposed to be top of the line but are NOT the best equipment for a radio station, especially on a show that plays 2 minute songs! The players are tempermental about CD-Rs, often take anywhere from 3 to 15 seconds to "load", an eternity if you're trying to be fast paced, and have a slight delay between the time you push the button and when the sound comes out.

One nice caller said he didn't notice any problems; I think he was just being kind. And like I said on the air, who could be upset with the groovy sounds coming out of the ray-dee-oh! Thanks SO MUCH for listening!
